Increase audio volume

Upload an audio file and make it louder — all in your browser. The format stays the same; the audio is re-encoded with the new volume. Peaks are clipped at full scale, so very high boosts can distort.

Volume change

Boosting volume without an editor

Pick a boost level from +25% to +200% and the tool amplifies your file, keeping its original format. It works on any supported audio: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, and AAC.

Watch for clipping: boosting past the point where peaks hit maximum distorts them. If the file is quiet overall, a large boost is safe; if it already has loud moments, normalize instead, which raises everything as far as the loudest peak allows.

Frequently asked questions

Boost or normalize, which should I use?

Normalize when you want the maximum safe loudness automatically. Boost when you want a specific amount of gain, or when even normalization is not enough and some clipping is acceptable.

Why is my recording so quiet in the first place?

Usually low input gain at record time: the mic was far away or the level set low. Amplification recovers loudness, though it raises background noise along with the voice.

Is my audio uploaded?

No, the gain is applied locally in your browser.
