Compress video files
Upload a video, choose a quality setting, and reduce its file size in your browser.
Re-encoding can take time, especially for long or high-resolution videos. Keep this tab open until the compressed file is ready.

The compressor re-encodes the video using the quality setting you choose. The resolution and frame rate remain unchanged.
Choose High quality to retain more detail, Balanced for a middle ground, or Smallest for a lower target bitrate and a potentially smaller file.
Your video is processed on your device, so you do not need to upload it to a server before compression begins.
Videos with limited movement often compress more efficiently than footage containing fast action, noise, particles, water, smoke, or fine textures.
The final size depends on the video's resolution, duration, codec, visual content, and selected quality setting. A file that is already efficiently compressed may show little reduction or may become larger.
If you can accept a lower resolution, resizing the video to 720p before compressing it may reduce the file size further.
