This privacy policy explains what information I collect when you use MakeAudio, and the steps I take to keep it safe.

Information I collect

The only personal information I collect is your email address, and only when you buy a plan or credits. Your email address is required to complete the purchase.

Text to speech

Most MakeAudio tools run entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device. Text to speech is the exception: the speech is generated in the cloud.

When you use text to speech, the text you submit is sent to the cloud and stored there so your audio can be generated. I keep that text for 7 days, after which it is deleted automatically. The audio file you generate is stored for 30 days, after which it is deleted automatically. You can also delete your audio files yourself at any time, so please save a copy of any audio you want to keep before you do.

Use of information

I use your email address to confirm your purchase, give you access to what you bought, and provide customer support. I use the text you submit to text to speech only to generate the audio you asked for.

Your choices

Providing your email address is optional, but without it you will not be able to buy a plan or credits, since I use your email for purchase confirmation and correspondence.

Policy changes

I may update this policy from time to time. If I make significant changes, I will post a notice on the website. Your continued use of MakeAudio means you accept the updated policy.
