Binaural Beats Generator
Listen to two slightly different frequencies, with one tone sent to each ear. Your auditory system may perceive a rhythmic beat corresponding to the difference between the two frequencies.
Stereo headphones or earbuds are required. With ordinary speakers, both ears usually receive both tones, so the intended binaural effect may not be preserved.
Preset names refer to commonly used brainwave frequency bands. They do not guarantee a particular mental or emotional effect.
How it works
With the carrier tone set to 200 Hz and the beat frequency set to 10 Hz, your left ear receives a 200 Hz tone and your right ear receives a 210 Hz tone. The difference between the two tones is 10 Hz.
Lower beat frequencies may be perceived as slow pulsing. Higher beat frequencies, such as 40 Hz, may sound more like rapid vibration, roughness, or buzzing.
Preset names such as delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma correspond approximately to commonly used brainwave frequency bands. These labels describe the beat frequency. They do not guarantee a particular mental or emotional effect.
Some people listen to binaural beats while focusing, relaxing, meditating, or preparing for sleep. Scientific evidence for specific benefits remains mixed, and responses vary between listeners.
This generator is intended for personal listening and experimentation. It is not a medical treatment or diagnostic tool. Start at a low, comfortable volume and stop if the sound causes discomfort.
