FLAC file info

Upload a FLAC file and inspect its technical details — codec, bitrate, sample rate, channels, and duration.

Verifying lossless claims

The inspector reads your FLAC’s bit depth (16 or 24-bit), sample rate (44.1 kHz through hi-res), channels, and duration. For collectors, it is the quick answer to whether a "hi-res" purchase actually carries hi-res numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Does 24-bit/96 kHz in the header guarantee true hi-res?

It guarantees the resolution, not the provenance: upsampled CD audio shows the same header. A spectrogram exposes upsampling by its empty top octave.

What bit depth should my rips be?

CD rips are inherently 16-bit/44.1 kHz. Files claiming more from a CD source have been padded, not improved.

Local processing?

Yes, your files are parsed in-browser only.
