How to read a spectrogram
Read it like a map: time moves from left to right, low sounds sit at the bottom, and high sounds sit at the top. Brighter colors mean that a frequency is stronger at that moment. This makes steady tones, hum, hiss, and frequency cutoffs easier to see than they are in the waveform above.
