Question 1

How do I convert an OGG file to MP4?

Accepted Answer

Drag your OGG file onto the box above, or click Select file to choose it. Choose a picture, a shape and a background, or keep the ones chosen for you. Click Convert and wait for the progress bar to finish. Click Download to save the MP4 video.

Question 2

Will my OGG file's cover art be used?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your OGG file has cover art, MakeAudio uses it automatically and shows it on the page as soon as you add the file. You can choose your own JPG, PNG or WebP picture instead. Without a picture, the video shows the title and artist from the file's tags on a black or white background. If the file has no title, its file name is used.

Question 3

Will the sound quality change?

Accepted Answer

Very little. OGG files hold Opus or Vorbis sound, and MakeAudio converts it to AAC at 192 kbps, the sound format video apps expect. The difference is very hard to hear in music and speech.

Question 4

How big will the video be?

Accepted Answer

About 1.7 MB per minute. The OGG sound is converted to AAC at 192 kbps, which takes about 1.4 MB per minute. The picture doesn't move, and it adds only about 0.25 MB per minute of video. A 4-minute song makes an MP4 of about 7 MB. A 1-hour podcast makes an MP4 of about 100 MB.

Question 5

Why isn't my file accepted?

Accepted Answer

This page accepts OGG files, whose names end in .ogg, .oga or .opus. Check the end of your file's name. For other audio, use the matching page: MP3 to MP4, WAV to MP4, M4A to MP4, AAC to MP4 or FLAC to MP4. Audio to video accepts all of these formats.

Question 6

Can I make a video from only part of the OGG file?

Accepted Answer

This page uses the whole file. To use one part, cut it first with Trim OGG file, and then convert the shorter file here.
