Question 1

How do I mirror a video?

Accepted Answer

Drag your video onto the box above, or click Select file to choose it. Check the preview, and switch between Original and Mirrored to compare. Click Mirror video and then Download.

Question 2

Why does text read backwards in my selfie video?

Accepted Answer

Some phones and apps save front camera videos mirrored, the way you saw yourself on screen while recording. Text in the shot then reads backwards. Mirroring the video swaps left and right again, which makes the text readable.

Question 3

Is mirroring the same as flipping?

Accepted Answer

Mirroring is a horizontal flip: left and right swap places. To turn a video upside down, use Flip video.

Question 4

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

In our tests on a recent computer, mirroring a minute of 1080p video took about 8 seconds. Older computers and phones take longer, and a progress bar shows how far along it is.
