Merge AAC files

Upload AAC files, arrange them in the order you want, and combine them into a single AAC file.

How AAC files are merged

Add two or more AAC files and arrange them in the order you want. The tool combines them into one .aac file, with each recording playing after the previous one.

The merged file is encoded as 192 kbps AAC-LC. Everything is processed in your browser, so your audio files are not uploaded to a server.

Why merge AAC files?

Combine parts of a recording, join audio captured in separate segments, or place multiple AAC clips into one file for easier storage and playback.

After the merge

An .aac file contains raw AAC audio in an ADTS stream. This format has limited support for metadata such as titles, artists, and artwork compared with M4A.

For easier everyday playback and organization, you can convert the merged AAC file to M4A. MakeAudio rewraps the existing AAC audio in an M4A container without re-encoding it, so the bitrate and audio quality remain unchanged during that conversion.
