Question 1

How do I make an 8D version of a song?

Accepted Answer

Drag your song onto the box above, or click Select file to choose it. Click Play preview to hear the sound moving around your head, and adjust the settings until it sounds right. Click Convert and then Download to save the new file.

Question 2

What is 8D audio?

Accepted Answer

8D audio makes the sound travel slowly from one ear to the other and around your head. It isn't a new file format: it is an ordinary stereo file with moving panning and a touch of reverb.

Question 3

Do I need headphones?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for the full effect. On speakers, the movement is much harder to hear.

Question 4

How fast should the sound move?

Accepted Answer

Slow takes 16 seconds for each turn, which suits calm songs. Medium takes 8 seconds, which suits most music. Fast takes 4 seconds, which is the most dramatic.

Question 5

Will my song still sound the same?

Accepted Answer

Mostly. The left and right channels are blended into one before the sound moves around your head. Stereo details in the original mix become part of the movement.
